Bio
From 1994 to 2017, Tom Varnum taught English at Tyngsborough (MA) High School, working with all grades and levels and developing curriculum for classes in journalism, public speaking, film analysis. After 24 years in the classroom, he was asked to become the first Digital Learning Specialist for the Tyngsborough Public School district in 2017, developing and implementing professional development opportunities for faculty at all grade levels. He coaches golf and boys tennis at Tyngsborough High School and girls basketball at Lowell Catholic. He has previously presented at MassCUE and the NEATE Fall Conference and served as a guest lecturer at the University of Massachusetts Lowell.
Tom holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature and Communication/Theater from the University of Notre Dame, and a Masters degree in English Literature from Fordham University.
