Bio
Tracy Sockalosky is an 8th Grade Civics teacher at Kennedy Middle School in Natick, MA. In her 20th year as an educator, Tracy is passionate about teaching students to understand the importance of their role as a citizen in their community and their world. She joined the faculty of Natick Public Schools in 2011 as an Instructional Technology Specialist and has been teaching Social Studies in Natick since 2013. Prior to working in Natick, she spent ten years working at the Carroll School in Lincoln, MA, a school for students with language-based learning disabilities, where she served as the Educational Technology specialist for several years, as well as an 8th grade history teacher. A former MassCue Board Member, Tracy serves on several committees including the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion committee. Tracy is a United States Holocaust Museum Teacher Fellow, a USC Shoah Foundation Teacher Innovator, and is on the organizing team for Edcamp Boston. She earned her BA in History and History of Art from the University of Michigan and her MEd in Mind, Brain and Education from Harvard Graduate School of Education. Tracy is currently pursuing a Masters in Educational Leadership and her adminstrator licensure through the Educator Leadership Institute with anticipated completion in June, 2021.
