"Mrs. Ming is in her twenty-seventh year teaching and her eighth year at Archbishop Carroll. She moderates the ACHS STEM Nation - a National Society of Black Engineers Jr. Chapter, is the Head Coach of ACHS eSports team and is the Program Director for Engineering at ACHS.

ACHS is a Project Lead the Way (PLTW) school with a four-year Engineering program. In addition, she moderates the M3 Mathematical Modeling Competition Team (SIAM) and hosts an ACHS STEM Panel discussion every Fall. When given the opportunity, she hosts sessions for teachers on how to integrate technology into their classroom lessons effectively.

As an only child, she grew up in Washington, DC attending Saint Francis Xavier 1st through 6th grade and then in Aurora, Colorado where she attended 7-12th grade. After high school, she attended Colorado State University in Fort Collins, CO and initially majored in Electrical Engineering for 2 years. After two years, she changed her major to mathematics and focused her electives on applied mathematics. She received a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics with an additional emphasis on secondary education. Over the years, she has taken multiple courses in STEM teaching (focusing now on STEM Educational Leadership Certification), Spanish (a passion) and Chemistry Education. She has taught Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics courses (7-12th grade levels), Spanish and holds a Project Lead the Way certification in Introduction to Engineering Design, Principles of Engineering, Digital Electronics (Circuit Design) and Engineering Design and Development.

She is the wife of the Associate Minister for the Bowie Church of Christ who has been in ministry for 20 years in some capacity. She has been married 27 years and has one daughter in her junior year of college at Bowie State University and one son who is attending Frostburg State University.

Favorite hobby: As a classically trained soprano, I love to sing choral and gospel music.
