Kwame Alexander is an Emmy Award–winning producer, the New York Times best-selling author of more than 40 books, including the Newbery Medal–winning novel The Crossover; the Caldecott Medal– and Newbery Honor–winning picture book The Undefeated; The Door of No Return; and J vs. K, which he co-wrote with Jerry Craft. At this live event, he’ll be discussing his new graphic novel series, The Brainstormerz.

Erin Entrada Kelly is the author of the Newbery Medal–winning novels Hello, Universe and The First State of Being, which was also named a finalist for the National Book Award. She received a Newbery Honor for her acclaimed novel We Dream of Space. She’s excited to tell young people about her new middle-grade novel, The Second Life of Snap, at this live event.

Jeff Kinney is a New York Times best-selling author of the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series and the Awesome Friendly Kid series. He is a six-time Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Award winner for Favorite Book and has been named one of Time magazine’s 100 Most Influential People in the World. He spent his childhood in the Washington, DC, area and moved to New England, where he and his wife own a bookstore named An Unlikely Story. He’s looking forward to discussing his upcoming book Rowley Jefferson’s Awesome Friendly Spooky Stories 2 at the live event.

Jerry Craft is the New York Times best-selling author and illustrator of the graphic novels New Kid, Class Act, and School Trip. New Kid is the only graphic novel in history to win the Newbery Medal. Jerry grew up in the Washington Heights neighborhood of New York City and now travels the world telling families about the importance of reading. He is delighted to be the moderator for this live event.
