Cindy Davis was recently named Content and Brand Director of Future’s AV Technology (AVT). Since 2015, she has been a contributing editor to AVT magazine, where she engages with technology managers and industry experts to illuminate the challenges and solutions of converging AV and IT. She is the moderator of the ongoing webcast series, New Era AV/IT.

For more than 20 years, Davis has developed and delivered multiplatform content for AV/IT B2B and consumer electronics B2C publications, associations, and companies. From 2000 to 2008, Davis was the publisher and editor-in-chief of Electronic House. From 2009 to the present, as the principal of CustomMedia.Co, Davis developed content plans and delivered content for associations such as IEEE Standards Association and AVIXA, content marketing for Future Plc, and numerous AV/IT companies. In 2012, the TechDecisions brand of content sites Davis developed for EH Publishing was named one of “10 Great Business Media Websites” by B2B Media Business magazine. Davis was a critical member of the AVT editorial team when the title won the “Best Media Brand” laurel in the 2018 SIIA Jesse H. Neal Awards.

Davis believes that continuing education is essential to innovation and success in life and business. In 2020 she completed the Harvard Business School Online Certificate Program, Disruptive Strategy, and in 2018 she completed, Agile Project Management, a hybrid course at Harvard University Extension School.

Barry Goch, Product Marketing Manager, AJA Video Systems, supports the company’s global marketing efforts by contributing to AJA’s website, product marketing across a range of platforms, trade show product roll outs and other go to market items as well as being an AJA evangelist in the LA area.

Previously Barry was a feature film and television finishing editor in Hollywood with credits including Spiderman: Homecoming, Passengers, Money Monster, Eye in the Sky, and Game of Thrones. He is also a creative editor, cutting the SXSW 2020 Award Winning Short, Stucco. Barry was also a journalist for many years reporting for Post Perspective and Post Magazine.

Barry is a member of the Television Academy, the Visual Effects Society, The Hollywood Professional Association and the current Chair of SMPTE Hollywood.



Damian Horne

Damian Horne is Product Manager at AJA Video Systems responsible for the majority of the Mini-Converters, OpenGear cards, ROVO Cams, U-TAPS and newly announced, ground-breaking, Dante AV 4K-T & 4K-R encoders & decoders.  

Damian brings over twenty years of experience managing projects and shows in the corporate live event, house of worship and concert touring market space with a focus on live presentations, system design, live streaming, and hybrid ProAV workflows. He began his career at AJA in Quality Assurance responsible for the Bridge NDI and desktop I/O products and served as interim product manager over these products for some time as well.



Jon Oates

West Park High School

Jon Oates serves as a Media Arts Teacher at West Park High School, a brand new, state of the art high school in Roseville, CA, where he oversees three Career Tech Education pathway classes, a weekly professional news broadcast and an annual film festival.

Jon is in his 21st year of teaching but also dedicated two decades as the Media Director and Worship Arts Coordinator for a large church–Sierra Grace Fellowship.

Jon's professional pursuits extend to freelance photography, videography, music gigs and event DJing. In his limited free time, Jon enjoys making music and hanging out with his wife and four kids.

 



Kathryn Taub

Kathryn Taub currently works at Audinate as a Product Marketing Manager for networked video technology. Kathryn joined Audinate in 2018 as a Technical Sales Engineer, providing pre-sales support and working to educate the AV industry on Dante AV-over- IP technology. While studying Film Scoring at Berklee College of Music, Kathryn fell in love with using advanced technology to help facilitate creative endeavors. Prior to joining Audinate, Kathryn spent many years working as a staff member at Berklee in a variety of roles supporting, training on, and designing AV systems for music production computer labs, classrooms, studios, and performance spaces.
