Explore sister houses Champagnes Salon and Delamotte in an exclusive masterclass in New York

This Masterclass will offer an unmissable opportunity to taste two exemplary Champagne houses side by side. Delamotte and the fabled, rare Salon are sister houses from neighbouring properties in the heart of the Côte des Blancs, and both are Blanc de Blancs – pure expressions of the Chardonnay grape. Despite those similarities, these wines taste radically different – complementary interpretations of grape and terroir, with a strong family resemblance yet unmistakable individual characters.

Led by Cristian Rimoldi and co-hosted by renowned sommelier Pascaline Lepeltier, guests will decode the factors that give these wines their distinct characters as they taste ten samples stretching back to 1997.

Cristian Rimoldi is Export Director for Champagne Salon and Champagne Delamotte. Born in Argentina, as a youngster he spent a year studying in the US before returning to his home country to embark on marketing and business administration studies in Buenos Aires. His appreciation of French culture eventually led to him settling in Paris, where he completed a master’s degree in business and marketing at the IAE-Sorbonne and, later, an MBA specialising gastronomy and wine.

This last move led to a decisive encounter with the world of Champagne, which has held its grip on him ever since.

Pascaline Lepeltier is a Manhattant-based sommelier who grew up in the Loire Valley and studied philosophy before discovering wine. After working in Michelin-star restaurants in France, she moved to New York City in 2009, and since has run numerous award-winning wine programs. Since 2022, she co-manages Chambers, a farm-to-table wine-focused restaurant in TriBeCa with +2000 references of organic, biodynamic & terroir-driven wines.

Master Sommelier, Best French Sommelier 2018 and Meilleur Ouvrier de France, 'Rising Star 2024' by Decanter, among other accolades, she writes and lectures globally on wine. In November 2024 she published her first solo book ‘One Thousand Vines’, to critical acclaim.
